This last months somethings really strange tends to appear on youtube and daylimotion, I’m talking about Lipdub. What the f*** is that?

A Lip dub is a type of video that combines lip synching and audio dubbing to make a music video. It is composed of filming individuals or a group of people lip synching while listening to a song or any recorded audio then dubbing over it in post editing with the original audio of the song. There is often some form of mobile audio device used such as an iPod. Often they look like simple music videos, although many involve a lot of preparation and are well produced. The most popular Lip Dubs are done in a single unedited shot that often travels through different rooms and situations in, say, an office building. They have become popular with the advent of mass participatory video content sites like YouTube. Tom Johnson, a technical writer who blogs about Web 2.0′s effect on communication, describes a good lip dub as having the characteristics, or at least the appearance, of:

- spontaneity: “It appears as if someone thought up the idea on the spot, pulled out their personal video camera, and said hey everyone, let’s all lip sync this Flagpole Sitta song.”

- authenticity: The people, production and situation appear real.

- participation: “The video doesn’t consist of one person’s spectacular lip sync, but that of a group, all participating together in this one spontaneous effort, which seems to communicate the attitude and mood of the song.”

- fun: the people in the video are having a lot of fun.

Here is one of my favourite one

I think it’s a very good idea for companies to make they own Lipdub. It proves to anyone that the company is innovativ, creativ and above all that the company gets a truthly team spirit. Anyway it’s good for the image of the company but also for the social cohesion. Last but not least it doesn’t make the company look not serioux enough, though the lipdubs are often made in creativ agency … But the Medef has made its own !

When you are looking for a job, Internet become a great friend.

First because it enables you to escape from your hard life of job less people, you can indeed watch nearly every films or serie you want and get away from your depressing room, which is rather important. Remember the usual way to represant jobless people, they are always in front of a television, drinking beers and watching the worst programm ever done. At least with Internet, the quality of the programm could only be better.

Moreover, and more seriously Internet can help you finding a job, you can put your cv online by viadeo. It enables you to increase your visibility for recruiters, or to get bach on touch with former collegues or classmates. This could sound silly but it is not. Actually increasing your social network is really necessary when you look for a job. If your friends and collegues happens to hear about a job that would suit you well, they would all the more think about you, as you are part of viadeo or something like that.

Who had thougt it was even possible to go green by downloading music.

Yet, according to the American Consumers Institute (ACI) it’s really accuring.

The first explanation is that downloading music, software applications and video has become commonplace, reducing the need for consumers to drive their cars to buy DVDs, CDs and the like. Obviously less driving be,efits environment. The emission of 23,6 millions tons of greenhouse is estimated to have been spared by music downloads alone in the last ten year

Furthermore other benefits are realized throughoutthe supply chain from the avoidance of production and transportation costs associated with manufacturing and distribution of physical products.

Last year a study had been led also by the ACI. It was entitled “Broadban Services : Economic and environmental Benefit” that tends to prove that the adoption and the use of broadband applications could lead to 1 billion ton reducstion in US greenhouse gas emissions over 10 years.

According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), there were nearly 1.1 billion music CDs, cassettes, LPs, singles and music videos shipped in 1997 and growing. In fact, if the growth rate of shipments had continued, the industry would have shipped arguably 1.8 billion physical units in 2007. Because broadband consumers are downloading music to their computers, IPods and other devices, physical shipments actually fell to 544 million units in 2007 from 1997. To put this drop in shipments in perspective of where 1997’s trend would be today, shipments in 2007 have fallen 1.3 billion units below the trend.

Interestingly, RIAA data shows that downloaded music, including music videos and sales through kiosks, subscription and mobile services, accounted for 1.2 billion units sold in 2007, suggestion that consumers are substituting away from physical recordings to downloaded recordings en masse. Of course, piracy and illegal downloading continues to hurt the industry.

As consumers continue to substitute from physical units to digital downloads, the savings will continue. In the next 10 years, we estimate that 7.3 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions will be avoided by reducing driving miles and 2.5 million tons will be avoided by the elimination of plastic CD cases, resulting in an additional 9.8 million tons of environmental savings. However, the benefits cited here can be far greater, since games, videos, DVDs and computer software can also be downloaded too, saving more driving time and reducing other plastic media, none of which were estimated here. Furthermore, not only does the environment save when a consumer avoids a trip to the store, it saves energy associated with manufacturing, transportation and distribution of the product to the store.Since IT services consume energy, of course, it is also important that consumers power down their equipment when not in use, use power strips to turn off chargers and the like in order to maximize the environmental benefits of using broadband-connected applications.

I think a good way to use internet when you’re working in marketing and communication is to write a blog about what you are doing, who you referred to in your everyday work. You must try to be innovative. That way way you show that marketing is not only your job but someting you like thinking about even at home. It’s also an opportunity to lure clients.

Moreover it would force you to stay connected and to register to many RSS.

Here you can find one of my favourite professionnel blog.

And If I manage to work as a creativ and I will certainly do that.

Here is a page of the blog of my favourite comics writer, Lewis Trondheim. It happened to be published as a real “album”. That a good exemple of the way you can use Internet in your professional life.

I currently work in a company that has 65 salaries. It is located in Paris in the 15th arrondisement on a street called Rue Maubert. It aims to sell children’s software.

It receives a subsidy from the state to hire young interns. That is how I got my position which is titled sales manager. In the beginning, my job title was “Marketing Manager”, but I switched jobs.

We sell a range of products branded Youngsoft. We have many expenses related to marketing. Our  in the tube is one of the most expensive services. Our PR department also has a very large budget. We make our own ads with our editorial staff, and we publish of user manuals.

Our quarterly results for this year have been all very positive. Our market is very interesting right now, and that is why we are profitable.

We want to market our products in Tahiti because we think overseas customers would be interested in buying them.

To sum up, we are promised to a bright future, thanks to our positive corporate ethics and an increasing market niche.

The older, the cheaper

As Paul Antoine reported it in his well-known blog, selling your dirty crappy old stuff on e-bay is a good way to make money

But let’s be honest, something new is easier to sell. An easy and good way to make money is to by things in private sail, which are usually very expensive, and then to sell them on e bay. You could even create a fake profile to increase the bids. That way you are sure to make money.

Number 4: This is great for bloggers. If your website or blog has a lot of content and articles, selling inlinks can be a good idea. It works simple, the advertisers choose the keywords that can be found in your published articles, then pay you to purchase text links for the keywords they selected.

Play, win and give

number 2 : play poker on-line is a good way to earn money, if you are good at it, you can earn a lot of money. I’m sorry but it’s truth that they are so many looser playing poker online, that if you are a pro you win very easily, unless you played against someone better

The number 3 idea is totally linked to the number 2. An association called benefitpoker had the following idea : with so much money made thanks to poker online, there was someting to do to raise fund. So the association “creates a website that is capable of running online poker tournaments and have the net proceeds go to charity” … They choose an association which will get the money for each tournaments. The first association that got money was “Operation Oz Kids USA”.
